The firm was founded in 1988 by Walter H. Barandiaran and Daniel Raynor, making it one of the longer standing firms in the private equity community with the same managing partners. This longevity is behind many of the attributes that make us a successful firm and a desirable partner - experience during a variety of business cycles, vast network of contacts, successful long term track record, and continuity of management and decision making.

First Analysis Corporation

Our relationship with First Analysis Corporation dates back to the late 1980’s when we began investing together in the solid waste industry. In 1992, we managed our first fund together and we are now working together on our third fund, FAPEF IV.

Our relationship with First Analysis provides us with access to leading research analysts with deep domain expertise in industries in which we invest, additional investment professionals and sources of contacts to assist our companies in their development, and additional investment capital for larger transactions.
