James R. Hale is the founder of Parallax Capital Partners, a California based private equity and management group whose current portfolio of companies generate over $1 billion in annual revenues worldwide. Formed in 1999, Parallax focuses primarily on the software and technology sectors acquiring assets from both public and private entities. To date Parallax has participated in 16 transactions in the US and Europe.

Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Hale has been involved in over 50 merger and acquisition events acting as a lender, advisor, or principal. He is currently Chairman of Vista Source, Inc and UTS Global, LLC as well as a Director of Inovis, Inc and TriSyn Group, LP.

Prior to Parallax, Mr. Hale served as Senior Vice President for Gores Technology Group directing all M&A activities including marketing, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and financing. During his tenure Gores annual revenue increased five fold from $40 million to $200 million with earnings over the same period increasing ten fold.

Mr. Hale has also held senior management positions with Deloitte and Touché and Greyhound Financial Corporation where he funded numerous cash flow and mezzanine loans to middle market companies. Mr. Hale holds a BS in Marketing and Management from Ferris State University.
